Organization 101
I wish I was a blogger really I do. I have even thought about rewriting an old song....it would go something like this:
Hello?
Oh how I wish I was a cyberspace logger
An internet blogger
I wish I had the words so I could make some dollars
I wish I had a dock instead of writers block...
I wish I wish
Okay that is probably enough....
Anyway life has been busy.
I know that sounds super lame.
Everyone thinks they are busy and I mean EVERYONE.
I recently heard someone say, "People make time for what they want."
But for me this isn't true because I barely have time to do what I need to do.
I have heard organization is the key to getting it all done.
And I actually love to organize.
But most of the time organization is unhappening around here.
Case and point:
Yesterday I was diligently working with the kids on cleaning everything. We had gotten back from our yearly vacation to Mexico with my husband's family when Ava decided she wanted a little bit of Mexico right in her room. She spread confetti EVERYWHERE. She is a very generous child and decided to share the "beauty" (as she referred to it) with her siblings and their rooms. Somehow they didn't find it to be as "beautiful." This took a very long time to clean up; not to mention the irritation of the confetti on our socks. I let her leave it for awhile though before cleaning it up because she truly felt it was decoration. She oohed and awed over it for quite some time.
In other news: Apphia recently got a crib. It was a crib I found at a thrift shop and her grandfather and I painted it. We are trying to convince her that it is a really fun place to be.
All was well....
...for about three minutes.

I saw the confetti, and was thinking how pretty it was....thinking it was part of the flooring. I think she and I are on the same page.
As for blogging and the business of life, I get that! I love to read other's stuff, but tend to not take the time to sit down and post my own. Maybe because I think my own are boring, and I don't have a decent camera, so i almost never have pics to post, and how fun is that.....to always read a post that has no pics?
i thought the confetti was pretty too, although i'm sure having it spread throughout the house and in rooms that weren't hers might not have gone over well. i'm glad that you were able to at least humor her idea for a bit...but i'm sure it was quite the task to clean up. i have a feeling it might continue to pop up in unusual places for the next little while. little things like that tend to.
i love to organize too. though i really have little to nothing to point at as proof of that.
even my blog. i can't get my scattered thoughts about everything into sentences to share.
i am realizing how long you've been missing by gasp. look at apphia!!! what happened to your baby??? :)
i thought the confetti was part of the floor covering at first too. but oops. that little ava! how funny and sweet...and yes. sounds like a pain to clean up! i think you're cool for letting her enjoy it awhile first!
